Community Business Expo
Sponsored by Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce
Event Date: Thursday, June 5, 2008, 3:00 to 7:30 PM
Along Adrian Street, adjacent to and concurrent with Farmers Market,
and
along Ockrow Street as needed.
Theme: “Play, Live and Grow Together”
The focus of this Business Expo is to showcase to the general
Manchester Community both our village and home-based businesses and
service organizations. Each business and service organization is asked
to demonstrate what they offer to the community. Individual 10’ by 10’
spaces will be made available – exhibitors set up their own table,
canopy or tent, chairs as they desire. We are contemplating renting a
large tent where exhibitors may set up for an additional charge.
This is an excellent opportunity for our home-based businesses to
promote their products or services in a central location. Our village
businesses will also benefit from the traffic, and by keeping the Expo
outdoors in the central downtown area. We will provide a flyer-style
directory of participating businesses to attendees.
We have formed four committees: Advertising and Publicity, Vendor
Recruitment, Site Logistics and Planning, and Entertainment and
Activities. Additional volunteers are sought – contact the Chamber for
details.
A variety of entertainment and other activities for both adults and
kids is planned. We have obtained some commitments already, and a full
schedule will be published.
- Exhibitor pricing will be:
- Chamber Member - $ 15
- Non-Chamber Member - $ 25
- Non-Profits - $ 10
The exhibitor fees will be used for extensive promotion and advertising
of the event. We will have several points of contact for vendors to
register, and for the public to ask questions, including the Chamber
phone number (476-4565) and web site www.48158.com. A registration
flyer is available on our web site. We will be soliciting all
businesses by e-mail, direct mailings, and direct contact. Publicity
will also include advertising in Manchester Enterprise and “M”
Magazine, and cards placed in local businesses.
We encourage all residents to come out and see in one place what your
town has to offer! And enjoy the return of warm weather!
